Justin is playing T-Ball

Justin is playing t-ball for the YMCA. He is so cute out there and just loves this game. Once he gets his stance right and his form for throwing and catching he is going to be formidable for a 5 year old.

His team is grey and we still have not figured out a name, have to come up with one for the first game in 2 weeks. I was thinking of grey animals that are rather tough but I only came up with things like mice and dolphins. These are not animals that will strike fear in the hearts of the other team. “Here come the mice, Justin Mouse is up to bat, He swings! Runs to first base and SAFE! That is one tough mouse…....” nope, does not work. Now, there is the Miami Dolphins, but hmmmmmm they are a lot bigger than our 5 year olds, I just don’t know. Doves, hippos, rinos, seals, ohhh the grey wolves, that one may work, squirrels, bunnies…....

When it rains it pours

There has been so many bad things going on I have not wanted to blog for fear I would just make myself more miserable. I went to visit some friends with my kids on vacation that did not go as I wanted it to. When I got back Kozmo who was left here with one of the girls from church coming over to let him out and play with him decided to get even meaner than he has been in the past. I remember when the kids would go to the cage and Koz would lick their hands and feet or whatever piece of them he could reach. I don’t remember when that changed and he started snapping at the kids when they would get too close to his cage but I started being afraid of him at that point. Justin put his face down by Koz’s water dish trying to get him to come get a treat from him and Koz snapped at him. The next day Josh hugged his neck too hard and Koz bit him in the lip. The children sat around him and were petting on him 2 different times and he snapped at them both times. Time to get rid of the dog. I did not think it would be so hard on me, I am all about protecting my kids but I miss his cute little face and the way his tail seemed to wag his whole body while he was happy. The kids miss him, Josh most of all. Doug, well it was his dog, he is quite down about the whole thing. It sure has been a hard month.

The rainbow peaking out from the cloud is our ultra sound yesterday showed a very healthy baby girl. No problems they could see and puts her right on schedule to be born November 17th. Joshua was born on november 15th and my sister was born on November 16th. I think the 16th would be a perfect birthday. Lisa just loves the idea of sharing her birthday with her new niece :)

Butter

Posted by Carla Fri, 02 Jun 2006 13:59:36 GMT

Now why would I leave an entire stick of butter out on the counter. Yes, you may ask me this question, but I have no answer. I have been so good at putting it in tupperware so the children won’t put their little fingers in it. No this time it was not little fingers like I usually find but very large tongue streaks in it. I really hope he does not get sick for my carpet’s sake, not that he does not deserve a little tummy ache. Maybe his coat will become more shiny, oh no, that is eggs. Hmmmmm.
